A Jersey girl at heart, Amanda Sachs currently lives in Minneapolis, MN. She has lived and danced in San Francisco, New York, and Portland. Amanda danced for The Francsca Harper Project, TU Dance, NW Dance Project. She is an original member of “Come Through” the collaboration between TU Dance and Bon Iver, performing at Hollywood Bowl, Bonnaroo, and Eaux Claires music festival. Amanda can now be found freelancing, teaching pilates and taking pictures of her dog Arthur all over the Twin Cities.
When dancing Amanda values the connection with others and her community. She believes in the power movement has to bring us closer to each other and to ourselves. While she takes her craft very seriously, Amanda loves to be silly while dancing and find new ways to move her body and share that joy with others.
When Not Dancing
When not dancing, Amanda enjoys hiking with her dog, going to yoga, and a great happy hour. She loves to post up at a cozy coffee shop and read a good book, or try the newest restaurant with friends. At night you can find Amanda at a local concert, dance performance, or at home on the couch rewatching Succession.
