Dance Church and Cornish+, School for Creative Arts are working in partnership to bring a monthly class at Cornish Commons every 3rd Thursday at 6:30pm from March to August!
About the event:
Dance Church® is an all-levels movement class that offers a fun and inclusive approach to dancing. Designed for people of all shapes and sizes, backgrounds and identities, Dance Church is a communal space for people who want to move their bodies.
Cornish+ School for Creative Arts, is Cornish’s home for creativity in community. Cornish+ will offer over 40 studio-based, in-person courses for youth and adults taught by Cornish instructors in art, design, music, theater, and dance. Cornish+ full launch will be Fall 2023.
The teacher leads this 70ish minute class in a series of movement cues, accompanied by a curated playlist of multi-genre pop music. The format is open but guided throughout. All levels, body types, identities and genders. No previous training is required, but open-mindedness is a prerequisite. Get lost dancing together — it’s the dance party you wish you had last night.
