Taking class at 1% - journey towards healing an injury

I took in person class at 1% for the first time since my hip injury, and here are my discoveries:

The body is a secret tool for learning. Slow down when you feel pain - listen to your body when it speaks to you - it knows.

I can still reach for the sky without jumping.

I can use different percentages in different body parts to support an injury (I move my upper body at 100% and my lower body at 1% at the same time)

I love using dance as a tool to gain knowledge of where my body is at, while absorbing the energy of the people around me.

I am constantly fighting my own desire to push my body at 100% all the time, it’s hard and emotional.

Laura is the first teacher who made me cry during lawnmowers 💔

My spirit can be 100% while my body dances at 1% - it works!
