Bring the joy and release of dance to your community. With three different models to become a trained teacher, we’re seeking practicing dance artists who are community-driven, entrepreneurial, and excited to grow Dance Church in cities across the country:

Scheduling
Managed by Dance Church Central Programming team based on teacher availability and programming needs
Set their own schedule, responsible for setting up venues for classes
Handled by a City Manager who is also a practicing teacher in the city.
Shift Requirements
Guaranteed at least 1 Teaching shift and 1 Support Role shift every month.
*Must be available for at least two classes per month for the first 6 months after hire

Pop-Up Classes
Can teach pop-up classes while traveling and on tour
Can teach pop-up classes while traveling and on tour

Compensation
Flagship Teachers are W2 employees and are paid as follows:
  • $40/hour for the first 10 classes
  • $45/hour for the second 10 classes taught 
  • $50/hour after 20 classes taught
Support Role 
  • Teachers are paid minimum wage for required training and setup, and ongoing $20/hour for other required work outside of classes 
  • No reimbursement for travel
Self-led Teachers are W2 employees and are paid as follows: 
  • $60/class with up to 20 paying takers
  • $100/class + $3 per paying class taker for classes with over 20 paying attendees
  • Venue expenses: $75-$100/class
  • Teachers are paid minimum wage for required training and setup, and ongoing $20/hour for other required work outside of classes
  • No reimbursement for travel or venue equipment
CM Teachers are W2 employees and are paid as follows:
  • $60/class for classes with fewer than 20 paying takers 
  • $100/class + per head payout for classes with more than 20 paying takers
  • Per head payout pooled among all teachers in a CM city: $1/head (first 10 classes), $2/head (10-20 classes), $3/head (over 20 classes)
  • Teachers are paid minimum wage for required training and setup, and ongoing $20/hour for other required work outside of classes
  • No reimbursement for travel
