Alyssa BrutlagToledo, OHShe/Her
Alyssa is a freelance choreographer, teacher, and dance artist based in Toledo, OH. She received a BFA in Dance from Western Michigan University. Alyssa tours her own repertoire around the country and has presented in venues such as Western Michigan University, Gibney in New York City, ACDA East-Central Regional Conference, Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, Detroit Dance City Festival, 12 Minutes Max in Seattle, RAD Fest in Kalamazoo, Dance Shorts: College Film Festival at Arizona State University and has been supported by The Arts Commission. She has also performed professionally for the Pat Graney Dance Company in Seattle.
When dancing, Alyssa finds inspiration through music, rhythm, feminism, and connection. Her movement is intricate, calculated, and demanding. Alyssa practices many styles of dance and pulls from every angle for her work.

Out of the studio you can find Alyssa trying new viral TikTok recipes, taking sunny walks, drinking lattes, keeping up with the Kardashians, practicing tap dance, and listening to her favorite podcasts.
