Dance Church will join Wellness Wednesdays at World Trade Center for an outdoor class free for public and open to every body!

About the event:

Dance Church® is an all-levels movement class that offers a fun and inclusive approach to dancing. Designed for people of all shapes and sizes, backgrounds and identities, Dance Church is a communal space for people who want to move their bodies.

Wellness Wednesdays, in partnership with Sputnik Yoga, is hosting a range of fitness and wellness classes at the World Trade Center on select Wednesdays. Launching in May to support Mental Health Awareness Month, this weekly series encourages healthy wellbeing habits for our community. Programming will feature a variety of classes from yoga and meditation to HIIT and many others!

Sponsored by Lifeway Foods, Wellness Wednesdays will take place on Oculus Plaza from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

The teacher leads this 55ish minute class in a series of movement cues, accompanied by a curated playlist of multi-genre pop music. The format is open but guided throughout. All levels, body types, identities and genders. No previous training is required, but open-mindedness is a prerequisite. Get lost dancing together — it’s the dance party you wish you had last night.

What to know:

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class, and no later than 5 minutes after. We encourage you to pre-register.

What should I bring?

Dance-able workout clothing Please bring sneakers you are comfortable dancing in. Water bottle Hat or glasses to cover from the sun Towel for sweat, if preferred

Accessibility:

Every level of the Oculus can be reached by elevator and is wheelchair accessible. Traveling between different levels may require an elevator transfer. In accordance with ADA requirements, all elevators have braille numbers and signage.

Parking:

The World Trade Center is best accessed via public transportation including the MTA New York City Subway, PATH Train, Bus, and Ferry options. Additionally, for those arriving via vehicle transportation there are numerous parking garages in the area. See Getting Here for more information.
