Michael Arellano

Michael Arellano is a Seattle-based dancer and teaching artist originally from Rochester, Michigan. Michael attended Western Michigan University where he received a BA in Dance and a BS in Psychology. He recently moved to Seattle to join Whim W’Him Seattle Contemporary Dance.
When Dancing
Michael grew up training in many different styles of dance including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and acrobatics. He finds joy in connecting movement to his eclectic music library and uses dance as a healing and meditative somatic practice.
When not Dancing
When not dancing, Michael likes to walk around Seattle, listen to music, hike in the PNW, and practice meditation and yoga. He also enjoys traveling to new cities, attending music concerts, and checking out different art museums when not in the midst of a global pandemic.
