Symone is a Leo Sun, Pisces Moon, Sagittarius Rising originally from Los Angeles, California. She received her BFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, during which time she also studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. She has been living in cozy Seattle since 2020, but still secretly loves getting stuck in traffic.
When Dancing
She is at her peak when she is performing and craves the physical, emotional, and intellectual rigor that is offered by dance. Symone is curious about how her identity as a black woman intersects with experimental and postmodern dance. she has adored performing with heather Kravas, Cherdonna Shinatra, and more.
When Not Dancing
She's frolicking in the sunshine, cuddling with her cat Son Stewart, expressing love in the form of dinner parties, spreading the word of her lord and savior (Britney Spears), engaging in general shenanigans, and calling her mom.
